Find Your Path

Re-Enrolling Student

Welcome back! If you started your degree at a UW university and had to step away, we are here to help you return, with flexible options to meet you where you are at. Whether it has been a few months or a few years, the Universities of Wisconsin offer clear pathways, flexible resources, and supportive staff that are ready to help you complete your degree.

Three Questions to Help You Plan Your Return

As you get started with the re-entry process, staff will likely ask you questions about your previous experience and your goals for the future.

01

Academic Standing

When you last attended a UW university, were you in good academic standing (GPA ≥ 2.00), on academic probation, or another status?

02

Previous Enrollment and Transcripts

Did you attend another college or university while you were away? If you earned credits elsewhere, you may be able to transfer them. Just be sure to request official transcripts from each institution you've attended.

03

Program of Study

What major or program are you planning to pursue now? Knowing your academic goals can help your university provide the right guidance and support as you transition back.
